Koast Law is a virtual law firm and legal technology company. We provide concierge general counsel and in-house counsel services to leading technology and finance companies. Our clients include over 70 companies in the hedge fund, private equity, fintech, software, data, consumer/beauty goods, hospitality, and professional services industries. We work with companies of all sizes, from Fortune 500 technology companies, hedge funds with over $50B AUM, and multi-billion-dollar beauty brands, to data/software startups and small PE firms.
Koast Law was founded by Stephanie Kostiuk in 2018. Stephanie was previously an attorney in New York city at a top law firm and was in-house counsel as a premiere quantitative hedge fund and technology development firm.
While practicing in such roles, Stephanie noticed that the traditional law firm and in-house counsel models failed to deliver legal services in a customized, cost-effective manner. She started Koast Law to provide an alternative model for the provision of services to meet the needs of modern businesses.
Before founding Koast Law, Stephanie worked as an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and in-house counsel at D. E. Shaw & Co., L.P. Stephanie holds a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where she served as an editor on the Vanderbilt Law Review, and a B.S. (with honors) in Economics from the University of Michigan. She is a member of the New York Bar and is a member of the NYSBA Corporate Law and Intellectual Property Law Sections.
